Designing for the smallest citizens of our world. That best describes my point of interest. By combining technical knowledge with creativity it becomes possible to make our world a little bit more beautiful and ,most importantly, user-friendly. The same goes for children. During my studies in Industrial Design Engineering at the University of Twente I develop knowledge and skills which aid me to better understand this young target group. Like adults, they deserve products which match their needs and wishes. On this portfolio website a variety of projects and skills is shown. These support me in becoming a better designer for children, so feel free to take a look.

Projects

Let’s start exploring the world with Convo! This device helps audio impaired people with communication. Speech speed and speed volume are measured using special measuring equipment. The measured values are translated to effective feedback for the interlocuter. Communication thus becomes easier. More information on this project or one of my other projects? Skills

Making realistic 3D-models. This is one of the skills that comes in handy during product design. On the picture a self-designed playground modelled with the program SolidWorks. Next to making CAD-models I master also other skills useful during the a design process. These can be found on the eponymous page.

Work

Next to study-related projects I did some small design assignments for third parties. All of them were mostly focussed on graphic design. On the left is placed a logo which I designed for a local scouting drum band. By listening to people’s wishes and using my own creativity these assignment came to a good end. Became curious?
